My client is a leading provider in the care label industry, specializing in high-quality, sustainable branding solutions for apparel and textiles. They are looking for a skilled Flexographic and Thermal Printer Operator to join their production team and ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency in their printing processes.

You will be responsible for operating and maintaining both flexographic and thermal printing machines. You will play a crucial role in producing high-quality care labels that align with client specifications and sustainability standards.

The role

  • Operate flexographic and thermal printing equipment (Cab 4XDQ Double Sided Label Printer) to produce care labels according to client requirements.
  • Set up and calibrate printing machines, ensuring accurate colour matching and print quality.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting on all printing equipment to prevent downtime.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
  • Perform quality checks throughout the printing process, adjusting as needed.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of printing materials, including inks, ribbons, and substrates.
  • Collaborate with the production and design teams to optimize print processes and improve workflow.

The person

  • Proven experience operating flexographic and/or thermal printing machines, preferably in the care label or garment branding industry.
  • Strong understanding of printing techniques, colour theory, and material compatibility.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality results.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on printing equipment.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and commitment to reducing waste is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and adapt to a fast-paced production environment.

Salary & Benefits

Competitive salary of £35,000 which could be negotiated DOE plus benefits including annual profit share, free lunch, 20 days holiday (increasing with years of service) and more! You will work on the day shift pattern Monday - Friday
