I am currently recruiting for a Qualified Teacher specialist in English for a temporary full-time role starting in January initially up until the Easter break. The school is a small Alternative provision catering for KS3 and KS4 students on a 6- 12-week placement to re-integrate them back into a mainstream school. The class sizes are a maximum of 6-8 pupils per class.
Job description and Spec:
- Hold qualified teacher status or equivalent depending on experience.
- Degree in English language, literature, humanities or equivalent.
- Implement and deliver appropriately, broad, balanced relevant and differentiated curriculum for students.
- Monitor and support overall progress and development of students.
- Assist in development and appropriate syllabus, resources and marking policies.Â
- Communicate effectively with students, and parents.
- Promote general progress and well-being and educational development for the students.
- Apply behaviour management procedures so effective learning can take place.
- Teach the students according to their educational needs.
- Experience of working within a pupil referral unit or similar setting.
