About Us: Career Teachers Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a specialist setting in Leeds. We provide a supportive and inclusive environment for children and young adults, aged 3 to 19, with autism. We're committed to delivering tailored education and fostering development through understanding and patience.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the educational and social development of students with autism.
Work closely with the classroom teacher to support lesson plans and activities.
Provide one-on-one support to students when needed.
Help create and maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.
Implement personalized learning strategies and interventions.
Assist with daily routines, including feeding, toileting, and mobility.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience working with children or young adults with special needs, particularly autism.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support are desirable.
