We are seeking a dedicated Year Manager to join a vibrant secondary school in Leeds on a long-term cover basis, starting ASAP. This full-time role requires someone who can manage student behaviour, support the well-being of pupils, and liaise with families and parents effectively.

Requirements:
  • Relevant Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within a secondary school is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Behaviour Management: Proven ability to manage student behaviour positively and consistently.
  • Enhanced DBS: An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) is required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Behaviour Management: Lead on behaviour management for your assigned year group, working closely with teachers, staff, and students to maintain a positive school environment.
  • Pastoral Support: Provide day-to-day pastoral care, supporting student's social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Parent/Family Liaison: Build strong relationships with families, offering clear communication and support, ensuring students are engaged and thriving.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior leaders, support staff, and external agencies to ensure every child in your year group has access to the support they need.
  • Attendance Monitoring: Help monitor and improve attendance, working with students and their families to address any barriers to regular school attendance.
