Apex are seeking a skilled and experienced Civils Piling Operative to start in November.
Pay rate: £25-£30 per hour
Duration: 2 months
Shifts: Monday to Friday 7am-5pm
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of deep foundation systems, including driven piles, bored piles, and screw piles.
The role involves working on a variety of construction sites, ensuring that all piling operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate piling rigs and associated equipment to install various types of piles.

Assist in the setup and dismantling of piling equipment and machinery.

Conduct pre-operation checks and routine maintenance of piling equipment.

Monitor and control the piling process to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Work collaboratively with the site team to ensure the timely completion of piling activities.

Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Maintain accurate records of piling operations, including daily reports and logs.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the piling process.

Communicate effectively with site managers, engineers, and other team members.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Piling Operative or similar role in the civil engineering sector.

In-depth knowledge of piling techniques and equipment.

Valid certifications for operating piling rigs and machinery.

Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to piling operations.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

A valid CSCS card (or equivalent) Must have transport to get to different locations throughout Yorkshire
Preferred Qualifications:

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Piling Operations or a related field, tracked dumper with piling attachment & post knocker attachment.

First Aid and other relevant safety training certifications.

Experience with various types of piles, including CFA, rotary bored, and driven piles.
