Job Title: Maintenance Commercial Plumber (Temp to Perm)Location: LeedsSalary: Competitive, depending on experienceHours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMWe are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Commercial Plumber to join our team in a temp-to-perm role. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well-established team working in a respected healthcare environment. The role will primarily focus on wet plumbing maintenance within commercial buildings, specifically in healthcare settings, and will involve a variety of general plumbing tasks.Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and emergency plumbing maintenance, repairs, and installations across the site, focusing on wet plumbing systems (including pipes, taps, showers, and other water-based systems).
  • Ensure that plumbing systems operate efficiently and safely, ensuring minimal disruption to the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct inspections, diagnose plumbing issues, and carry out repairs and upgrades as necessary.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure compliance with all maintenance schedules and health and safety standards.
  • Manage the maintenance of water tanks, pumps, and general plumbing infrastructure.
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance as requested by the facilities team.
  • Maintain records of work carried out and ensure all activities are documented accurately.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in commercial plumbing: You should have hands-on experience with wet plumbing systems in a commercial setting, with a preference for those who have worked in healthcare environments.
  • Plumbing qualifications: You must hold relevant plumbing qualifications, such as a Level 2/3 NVQ in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent.
  • Healthcare maintenance experience: Experience working within a healthcare setting (e.g., hospitals, hospices, clinics) is ideal due to the specific requirements of plumbing maintenance in these environments.
  • Skills & Knowledge: You will have solid knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, maintenance, and the ability to troubleshoot and fix plumbing issues efficiently.
  • Health & Safety: A strong understanding of health and safety standards and best practices, particularly in the healthcare sector, is essential.
  • Team player: You must be able to work collaboratively as part of a facilities team, but also independently when required.
  • Proactive approach: A strong work ethic and the ability to identify issues before they become major problems is highly valued.
