Overview:Nextgen are seeking to recruit a full-time Primary Class Teacher for one of our partnership schools based in central Leeds with easy public transport routes to and from the Leeds City Centre. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment, developing engaging lesson plans, and promoting the academic and personal growth of students. This role requires a commitment to educational excellence and the ability to inspire students to achieve their full potential.

This position is to cover a maternity in a Key Stage 1 class of mixed Year 1 and Year 2 pupils. This is a two-form entry school with a family feel and supportive environment. Unfortunately, the school cannot support any ECTs at this time.

Requirements:

  • PGCE/QTS (qualified teacher status).
  • Both ECT Years completed (minimum 3 years of teaching experience in KS1).
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage classroom activities and administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students through innovative teaching techniques.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and resources to enhance learning experiences.
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability in addressing diverse student needs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges that may arise in the classroom setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through regular testing, assignments, and feedback.
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Maintain open communication with parents regarding student performance and behaviour.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional strategies and share best practices.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies.
