About the Role:
Career Teachers is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Needs Teacher to join our team on a long-term basis. This full-time role involves working with primary students in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (KS1), with a particular focus on supporting students with autism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of students with special educational needs (SEN), particularly those with autism.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional development of all students.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, SEN coordinators, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support to students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on student progress and development.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching in EYFS and KS1.
- Demonstrated experience working with students with autism.
- Strong understanding of SEN best practices and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
