At Best In Class, we are supporting a Primary School in Leedswith sourcing a teacher for their SEND Provision. The school pride themselves on their nurturing environment and ensuring learning is inclusive for all children, and therefore are searching for a SEND teacher that can be adaptable.

The role is to begin in January 2025 or sooner for the right candidate.

As a SEND Teacher, your duties will include:

  • Planning and delivering adaptable lessons to a wide range of pupils with different need and ability
  • Support children with additional personal and academic needs.
  • Some needs will include (ADD, ADHD, ODD, CAMHS, Complex Needs, Behaviour Difficulties, Autism or MLD.)
  • Effective behaviour management strategies
  • Establishing a safe and stimulating learning environment for learners
  • Follow school Assessment policy
  • 1-to-1 and small group interventions differentiated and scaffolded to need
  • Teach useful strategies that will support children outside of school

To be successful, you will need:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Completed Induction Period
  • Experience supporting SEND Children
  • Experience teaching a range of subjects
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service
