About Us:At Reed Education we are supporting a partner Primary School with their recruitment of a Year 1 Teacher. Our client is a vibrant and inclusive school located in the heart of Harehills, Leeds. The Role:We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Year 1 Teacher to join our client from February until the end of the summer term. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to our Year 1 pupils, ensuring that each child makes excellent progress. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who is committed to fostering a love of learning in young children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support pupil progress and development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting, specifically in Key Stage 1.
  • Strong knowledge of the Year 1 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • No Early Career Teachers (ECTs) for this role.
