Year 6 Teacher

OverviewNextGen are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging students to develop their academic skills, creativity, and social abilities. As a Year 6 Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the minds of young learners and inspiring them to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through regular testing and observation.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student development.
  • Collaborate with other educators to enhance curriculum delivery and share best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behaviour.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.

Requirements:

  • PGCE/QTS with proof of certificate
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Patience and adaptability in dealing with varying student needs and behaviours.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities to address challenges in the classroom.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and commitment to fostering a love of learning in students.
  • Familiarity with educational technology tools to enhance teaching methods (nice-to-have).
  • Experience in developing inclusive lesson plans that accommodate different learning styles (nice-to-have).
  • Familiarity with SATS teaching programs
