Year 6 Teacher

Overview:Nextgen are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 6 Primary School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for young learners. This role involves educating students in various subjects, implementing effective behaviour management strategies, and communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Roles:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Educate students in core subjects such as mathematics, literacy, science, and social studies.
  • Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Have a strong knowledge about SATS frameworks
  • Employ behaviour management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through regular testing and feedback.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and behaviour.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance the educational experience for all students.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Education or a related field, with a focus on Early Childhood Education preferred. (A PGCE/QTS)
  • Proven experience in teaching or working with children in an educational setting is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to implement behaviour management strategies that promote a respectful learning environment.
  • A genuine passion for educating young learners and helping them achieve their potential.
  • Relevant teaching qualifications or certifications are desirable but not mandatory.
