We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a Year 5 class in a welcoming primary school located in the Leeds area. This is a full-time role, running Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored classroom support to help pupils stay engaged and achieve their learning objectives.
- Assist with the preparation and organisation of lesson materials and resources.
- Work with small groups or individual pupils, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and other core subjects.
- Support pupils with additional needs, including SEN and behavioural challenges, fostering their confidence and independence.
- Contribute to the creation of a positive and encouraging classroom environment that promotes inclusivity and respect.
- Help monitor pupil progress, offering feedback to the teacher and assisting in the development of learning plans.
- Supervise and engage with pupils during breaks, transitions, and other non-classroom activities.
Requirements:
- Proficient knowledge of the national Key Stage Curriculum.
- Familiarity with diverse teaching approaches suitable for SEN children.
- Solid comprehension of child development and the learning process.
- Exhibit effective listening and verbal communication skills.
- A commitment to building positive children relationships and addressing their requirements.
- Capable of offering individualised attention, encouragement, and learning support.
- Possess an Enhanced DBS check or willing to obtain one through Randstad.
- Eligibility to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
