We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team in Year 6, providing support and guidance to students as they prepare for their transition to secondary school.This full-time position offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young learners during a critical stage of their education.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Supporting children with personal care tasks, when necessary, to ensure their safety, well-being, and participation in school activities.
- Strong understanding of various special educational needs and strategies for supporting them.
- Patience, empathy, and effective communication skills when working with children.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and individual needs.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and strategies for promoting positive behaviour.
- Collaborative mindset to work closely with teachers, specialists, and other support staff.
- Commitment to safeguarding and ensuring the well-being of all children.
Requirements:
- The confidence to evaluate learning needs and actively seek new teaching methods.
- Willingness and ability to adapt in response to changing circumstances.
- The ability to provide individual attention, reassurance and support with learning tasks.
- A sound understanding of child development and learning.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to get a new one
- A good understanding of the national Key Stage Curriculum.
