We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team, providing exceptional care and support to our youngest learners in the EYFS. Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum by supporting children in developing key skills through engaging and creative play-based learning activities.
- Help maintain an organised, safe, and stimulating classroom environment while supporting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
- Provide personal care support to young children, encouraging independence with tasks such as hygiene, toileting, and dressing.
- Monitor and document children's progress, sharing observations with the teacher and parents.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
- Offer tailored support for children with additional needs, ensuring activities are accessible and inclusive.
- Promote social development by helping children learn skills like sharing, turn-taking, and forming friendships.
- Ensure children's safety and well-being by adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Candidates should ideally have a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, with experience working in an EYFS setting.
- A solid understanding of the EYFS curriculum, strong communication skills, and a caring, patient approach are essential.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively with others are highly valued.
- An Enhanced DBS clearance on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) and a commitment to safeguarding practices are required.
- Eligible to work in the UK without any restrictions.
