Product Manager Role Overview

Elevation recruitments design and projects team are working with a global leading manufacturing business based in Leeds who are looking to appoint a talent and experienced Product Manager to join their growing division. As a Product Manager, reporting into engineering leadership, you will take ownership of the product development process, driving innovation and managing the full product life cycle across the EMEA region. Your role will involve design, new product development, market analysis, and strategic planning to enhance the teams product portfolio. You will play a key role in business growth by implementing best-practice product management processes and leading successful product introductions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Life Cycle Management: Oversee the complete life cycle of new products, ensuring alignment with customer and market needs while supporting the sales team and customers during product launches.
  • Product Development & Strategy: Design & Develop product roadmaps and strategies, managing projects from inception to launch
  • Project Execution & Engineering Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to define project scopes, goals, budgets, resources, and timelines, ensuring projects meet their deliverables. Utilize Jira to track engineering milestones.
  • Go-to-Market Execution: Support product launches by securing alignment across teams, ensuring adequate resources, and facilitating smooth market introduction.
  • Portfolio Optimization: Identify opportunities for product expansion and consolidation to enhance the product portfolio
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain strong communication with cross-functional teams, acting as a vital link between Sales, Engineering, and global teams, particularly between the UK and US.
Product Manager Profile / Experience:

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering/ Design, Science, or Business.
  • Technical knowledge of highly regulated industry would be beneficial
  • Proven experience in Product Management / Project Design Engineering
  • Strong commercial awareness with a track record of success in product management, pricing strategies, and margin optimization.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to deliver impactful presentations at all levels.
  • Experience in multi-cultural and cross-functional project teams, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex business environments.
  • Strong strategic and organizational skills, with the ability to balance innovation and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to connect engineering expertise with customer needs, ensuring seamless product development and market success.
  • Leadership capabilities, able to guide cross-functional teams and drive projects forward.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
