We are looking for a Mechanical Supervisorwith a Mechanical Bias, who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.

Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Mechanical Supervisor to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.

As theMechanical Supervisor, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.

The Mechanical Supervisor, will be responsible for:

  • Oversee maintenance and monitoring of all mechanical equipment within the prison.
  • Lead and manage the onsite team, ensuring schedules and programs are followed.
  • Build strong client relationships and conduct regular quality audits.
  • Develop staff and prisoners, manage absences, and ensure correct staffing levels.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, including documentation and SHE standards.
  • Oversee planned preventive maintenance and liaise with engineers and subcontractors.
  • Enforce risk management procedures and ensure safety compliance, including permit to work systems.
  • Review service performance, support best practices, and complete accurate documentation.
  • Investigate infrastructure issues and coordinate plant/system connections.
  • Ensure staff have necessary tools and maintain the asset register.
  • Conduct site inspections and be available for scheduled and unplanned weekend work.

To be successful for this Mechanical Supervisor role you must have:

  • Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification required.
  • IOSH or equivalent certification.
  • Completion of C&G/BTEC Mechanical and Electrical Building Services Engineering Parts 1, 2, and 3.
  • NVQ Level 3 in multi-skilled engineering.
  • C&G 2079 F Gas or equivalent certification.
  • HVAC or gas equivalent certification.
  • C&G 2391/2 18th Edition IEE Regulations certification.
