We are looking for a Scheme Manager with these attributes, to work afternoons Monday to Friday, at our over 55s sheltered housing scheme in Leeds (LS12).

As a Scheme Manager, you’ll be providing direct support to residents and ensuring the scheme is well-managed and maintained. This role will involve working with older adults, helping them maintain their independence while ensuring their safety and wellbeing. You will also be the first point of contact for residents, external service providers, and contractors, ensuring that residents live in a secure and welcoming environment.

A typical day might include:

- Making and/or answering welfare calls

- Being on hand to check everything is okay with residents.

- Offering advice and support to residents updating online client record systems

- liaising with carers, family members, contractors.

- Health and Safety monitoring and checks

- raising and reviewing safeguarding reports.

Essential criteria:

- Experience of working or volunteering in a customer facing role.

- Understanding of how to identify and provide practical and emotional support

- Understanding of best practice in relation to safeguarding and data protection and confidentiality

- Understanding of welfare benefits and their implications for individuals and the service

- IT literacy

Additional information:

This role is temporary until March 2025

The position is based in Leeds, LS12. The work pattern will be Monday to Friday 12pm to 4pm.

This position will require a criminal background (DBS) check and we will need to see two professional references.
