We are currently recruiting for a growing manufacturer with a major capex programme signed off to expand their factories. In order to support the influx of new kit they need to appoint a Project Manager on a contract basis, for approximately twelve to sixteen months, to liaise with machinery suppliers and internal engineering/maintenance teams and provide onsite assistance and support when appropriate. You will be required to travel to site frequently and need to be based in Yorkshire. You need previous experience of project managing million pound plus projects (ideally multiple concurrently) focused on machinery installation. Ideally you'll be an engineer, familiar with special purpose machinery, although this isn't essential.

The role will involve the management of high value capital equipment machinery installation projects from kick-off meeting through to handover and ongoing warranty support. You need a good working knowledge of machinery installation and be able to provide technical assistance on the machinery that has been purchased as it is installed. The company's success is down to its people and this is an opportunity to join a successful and forward thinking team at top of their game. There is a high probability that this contract will be extended as further machinery is purchased.

Applications are welcome from both Project Managers and Project Engineers becoming available in the next eight weeks. As Project Manager you will have previous experience of special purpose machinery installation and be able to provide technical assistance to the internal installation team and be a trusted point of contact for suppliers sales and engineering teams.
