Senior Project Manager - Leeds

An Amazing opportunity to join a government organization, coordinating between multiple local authorities and industry-specific bodies.

Salary: - 55,000 - 60,000 basic

Location: - Leeds

Hybrid working (2-3 days in the office and 2-3 days from home as required)

Role Description: -

This is a great opportunity to enter the public sector, working with various government bodies from Local authorities such as, the Department of Transport, National Highways, Network Rail, Transport for the North, TOC & Associated combined authorities.

Working as part of the Rail team focused on passenger services and timetabling around the customer journey. Looking at the impact of the TRU project and the new time tables being introduced that effect the TransPennine route.

Key factors in this role is stakeholder engagement and communication across the project team. Ensuring the communication of delays and changes are managed across the full programme, then effectively in to the customer service team and ultimately received by the customers using the route.

You will be expected to lead on the communication and changes with in the Passenger services team. Ensuring all the changes and outputs are executed to meet requirements, taking into consideration interdependencies between your work and other programmes of work.

Day-to-day duties will vary but could include:

  • Leading an operational team to deliver required objectives
  • Support passenger-related services to ensure passenger experience in at the forefront of related projects
  • Manage relationships with all relevant stakeholders, to ensure all parties are informed of project progress impacting the customer journey.

Required Experience

  • Experience working with a range of stakeholders such as local authorities, train operating companies & consultancies.
  • Working on Passenger focused projects effecting timetabling and the customer experience would be ideal or a similar project.
