Educational Psychologist

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Educational Psychologist to join our team. The role involves assessing and supporting children with special educational needs (SEN), providing high-quality advice to pupils, teachers, and parents, and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations under relevant Education Acts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely assessment of SEN and development of transitional plans.
  • Attend SEN Tribunal hearings and contribute expert advice.
  • Collaborate with agencies and visit out-of-area placements.
  • Deliver high-quality support and advice on educational interventions.
  • Ensure equal opportunities for all children, including Looked After Children and disadvantaged youth.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Honours Degree in Psychology and HCPC registration.
  • Masters/Doctorate in Educational Psychology.
  • Proven experience in school work, complex cases, and delivering professional development.
  • Strong knowledge of Education Acts and SEND Code of Practice.

Personal Qualities:

  • Ability to manage a complex workload under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Commitment to equal opportunities and delivering a non-discriminatory service.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • Ability to converse confidently in English.
