Inclusive Consulting is proud to partner with a client in Leeds to find a confident and experienced Accounts Receivable Team Leader.

Were seeking a candidate whos eager for a new challenge and ready to make a tangible impact. Working closely with the Head of Department, your primary focus will be to enhance debt collection processes and ensure timely billing. You'll oversee the UK groups debtor book, managing aged debt and meeting critical performance goals.

This role involves collaborating with both operational and finance teams, as well as liaising with global clients to streamline billing and debt recovery. Its a dynamic position ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving and driving continuous improvement.

As a leader, youll oversee a team of five, conducting regular check-ins and meetings while fostering an environment where everyone can excel. Youll act as a mentor, guiding your team to overcome challenges and develop more efficient workflows.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of five Credit Controllers and Assistants
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones and performance reviews
  • Monitor cash collections and assess team performance metrics
  • Implement procedures and processes for the Accounts Receivable team
  • Support month-end activities, aligning with the financial reporting calendar
  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients and operational teams to facilitate credit control, billing, and reporting
  • Leverage problem-solving abilities to minimize aged debt, boost cash flow, and introduce innovative strategies to improve debt metrics
  • Effectively manage priorities to meet billing and cash collection targets, improving the overall DSO position

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience in billing and credit control
  • Proficient in Excel and Word, with strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus
  • Target-driven, self-motivated, assertive, and a team player
  • Strong communication skills across all mediums
