In this exciting role, you will manage procurement activities across a wide range of indirect spend categories, including office supplies, consumables, hire contracts and services. Reporting directly to the Director of Supply Chain and Planning, you will play a key role in negotiating contracts, managing suppliers, and ensuring long-term value is achieved for the business. Manage the procurement of indirect categories such as office goods, consumables, hire contracts, services, and utilities.
Lead supplier negotiations to secure favourable terms and conditions.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure value, compliance, and performance.
Identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives and supplier consolidation.
Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple sites to align procurement strategies with business goals.
Travel to supplier locations and across the Group’s sites as required.

Your background:

BSc or MSc degree, preferably in a relevant field.
Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role.
Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
Strong communication abilities, with experience engaging multiple stakeholders.
Analytical mindset and strong logical reasoning skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and Microsoft Dynamics.
Previous experience managing indirect spend or category purchases.

It would be a bonus if you have:

Knowledge of chemicals, chemical distribution, or chemical manufacturing.
CIPS qualification or equivalent.
Additional IT skills beyond MS Office and Dynamics.
Experience in contract management.
