Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Demand Planner, to join an established FMCG business.

As part of the ongoing growth plan, the Demand Planner you will be an integral part of Supply Chain Team. We are looking for someone who is passionate driven and can work on their own and as part of a wider team

Demand Planner

Responsible for the maintenance of an exceptional forecast accuracy, utilising the businesses forecasting system to allow for an efficient and effective supply chain.

Responsibilities Demand Planner

  • To liaise with the Customers, Sales teams and the Supply Planning Team in relation to forecast creation and accuracy ensuring clarity of inputs and drivers of forecast.
  • To deliver a bi-monthly demand review of key Demand planning metrics - accuracy/stock holding/service levels etc. that generates an accurate forecast for S&OP process
  • Responsible for reviewing historical demand and future event forecasting.
  • To maintain and further develop the Futurmaster forecasting system, with promotions inputs from the Exceedra forecasting system
  • Publish forecasts, variance and event information in a timely manner to all relevant parties to assist in creating accurate and viable forecast information.
  • To work with customers collaboratively and ensure that the Company is professionally represented at all times, both inside and outside the business.
  • To take an active role in continuously developing the job-holder's skills and knowledge through self-development activities and/or through attending Company organised training and development opportunities.
  • To respond to ad hoc requests and/or take an active role in specific projects as directed by the job-holder's line manager.
  • To take responsibilities for daily & weekly reporting within the team and be an integral part of the wider team.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as may from time to time be required by the Company.

What are we looking for as a Deman Planner?

  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office
