We are recruiting for a motivated team member to join our Quality team as a Quality Control Manager based in our offices at Unit 4, Beeston, Leeds.

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Quality Control Manager will be required to work in conjunction with department managers and supervisors to implement and maintain quality and manufacturing processes and systems across the Beds division.

Hours: Monday Friday, 39 hours per week

Key Duties:

Working with the QA manager to ensure compliance to relevant regulatory requirements.

Drive continuous improvement projects to improve product quality and consistency.

Assist with external product testing, ensuring products are built to specification.

Concessions to support the commercial and compliance teams to problem solve and identify any potential supply chain, quality or manufacturing issues that may prevent failed deliveries.

Specifications maintain, audit and cross reference specifications to ensure products are manufactured correctly.

Provide leadership and support on the facilitation of quality control processes and best practices to all site personnel.

Identify and record any problems relating to the product or process (register, document and analyse).

Prepare quality reports and compile monthly quality KPI's.

Gain an understanding of customer needs and communicate them and the quality standards to the production team.

Support improvements and develop measures to reduce site returns and customer credits.

Create, deliver and store toolbox talks relating to Quality.

NCR/8D process provide support for analysis of non-conforming product and components and raise awareness through action logs.

Incoming good checks ensure incoming goods meet specification.

Assist with new product development at manufacturing and design stage (Stage & Gate), ensuring all products are designed for sustainable quality manufacture.

Key Skills & Experience:

Experience working with quality systems such as ISO9001 within the automotive industry or similar (Essential).

Audit training would be beneficial.

Good communication skills.

Ability and confidence to explore areas to improve.

Able to work on own initiative.

Confident individual with the ability to maintain a positive outlook when working under pressure.

Resilient .

The ability to challenge the status quo.

Attention to detail and the ability to think clearly and work under pressure.

Ability to multi-task, work to deadlines and prioritise workload to coincide with Production requirements.
