Graduate/Trainee/Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Duchy Homes have a vacancy for a Trainee/Graduate or Assistant Quantity Surveyor based in Leeds , this is a fantastic opportunity to join the business and earn a full-time salary whilst studying part-time BSc (Honours) Quantity Surveying degree apprenticeship .
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Support: Help manage the procurement process by assisting with tender evaluations and liaising with suppliers and subcontractors
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing and submitting interim CVRs , managing variations, and final accounts.
- Contract Administration: Support the administration of contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
- Site Visits: Participate in weekly site visits to understand project progress and assist with measuring quantities on-site.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate project records and assist in preparing reports for the senior quantity surveying team.
- Training and Development: Take an active role in your own learning and development, including working towards relevant professional qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:
- Recently graduated or studying towards a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Eagerness to learn and develop in the field of Quantity Surveying.
- Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from senior colleagues
