Graduate/Trainee/Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Duchy Homes have a vacancy for a Trainee/Graduate or Assistant Quantity Surveyor based in Leeds , this is a fantastic opportunity to join the business and earn a full-time salary whilst studying part-time BSc (Honours) Quantity Surveying degree apprenticeship .

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement Support: Help manage the procurement process by assisting with tender evaluations and liaising with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing and submitting interim CVRs , managing variations, and final accounts.
  • Contract Administration: Support the administration of contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
  • Site Visits: Participate in weekly site visits to understand project progress and assist with measuring quantities on-site.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate project records and assist in preparing reports for the senior quantity surveying team.
  • Training and Development: Take an active role in your own learning and development, including working towards relevant professional qualifications

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Recently graduated or studying towards a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Eagerness to learn and develop in the field of Quantity Surveying.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from senior colleagues
