Unite People Build are working with a construction main contractor to hire an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a salary position, to work on a major project in Leeds, West Yorkshire

As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor based on site. You will be initially working on a multi-million scheme in Leeds; you will play a pivotal role in supporting the commercial team in various aspects of Quantity Surveying.

This is a great opportunity to gain project experience on a sizeable and interesting contract in Leeds city centre

You will benefit from working with an experienced commercial team daily, continuously developing your skill-set whilst managing elements of the commercial process independently over time. Our client has a regional office in West Yorkshire and has a footprint of schemes secured over the next few years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
  • Collaborate with project teams to monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to quality standards.
  • Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Construction related qualification
  • Strong analytic and numerical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
