  • Job Title:Quantity Surveyor
  • Salary:40k to 60k DOE
  • Location:Leeds / Hybrid working
  • Working Hours:Flexible - Usual hours are 7:30am to 4pm

Overview of the role:

  • Attend meetings with clients about pre-construction meetings.
  • Identify project Risks & Opportunities
  • Manage Contract & Collateral Warranty reviews and appraisals.
  • Sub-contract package appraisals.
  • Raising and issuing Sub-Contract orders and Payment Approvals.
  • Manage Valuation & Invoice trackers.
  • Reviewing contract obligations and identifying changes
  • Prepare schedules before commencement on site
  • Work closely with departments across the business to ensure smooth running of projects and time-scales.
  • Assist with monthly cost / value reports, implementations of KPIs, and other commercial measures.


Required skills and experience:

  • Ideally a minimum of 5 years of experience within a Quantity Surveyor / Estimating role.
  • Experience within the Rail environment.
  • Knowledge of building contracts such as JCT. NEC3 would be highly desirable.
  • An analytical thinker who can analyse and understand numbers to determine Risks & Opportunities.
  • A clear communicator who can communicate clearly to different teams across the business.
  • IT literate with excellent skills and knowledge of Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
