The Quantity Surveyor will manage the financial and commercial aspects of roofing schemes, with involvement in façade and cladding projects. This role will oversee projects from tender to completion, ensuring they are delivered within budget, on time, and in line with contractual obligations.Kingsley Consulting are partnered with a leading national contractor specialising in roofing, waterproofing, façades, and cladding solutions. With a turnover of £50M, this contractor delivers comprehensive external building envelope services. They are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to focus primarily on roofing projects, while also managing other external envelope works.Package: Negotiable depending on experience + Benefits (Health Insurance, Pension Scheme, Performance Bonuses).Location: Leeds Office (2/3 Days) and onsite (2/3 Days). Role Overview:The role focuses on roofing projects but will extend to managing commercial activities across the external building envelope. The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project success.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage roofing tenders and live schemes, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and client requirements.
  • Oversee the financial aspects of roofing, façades, and cladding projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and supply chains to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Price variations and negotiate agreements with clients and subcontractors.
  • Ensure projects comply with the Building Safety Act and insurance requirements.
  • Provide regular reports to the commercial manager and liaise with clients on progress.
Experience & Skills Required:
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in roofing or external building envelope projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of roofing systems and external envelope components.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and numerical skills.
  • Knowledge of fire safety regulations, including the Building Safety Act.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Level 3 NVQ in Construction Contracting Operations.
  • Experience with JCT contracts and project risk management.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Bluebeam Revu, and SharePoint.
