This role is for a diligent Quantity Surveyor with experience within the Social Housing sector. The candidate will be responsible for managing all costs relating to projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures.

Client Details

Operating within the Not-for-profit sector, this organisation is looking for an interim QS to join the team, to focus on social homes within the Yorkshire/North Eat areas.

Description

  • Seeking to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while achieving the required standards and quality.
  • Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
  • Advising on procurement strategy.
  • Performing risk, value management and cost control.
  • Identifying, analysing, and developing responses to commercial risks.
  • Preparing and analysing costing for tenders.
  • Allocating work to subcontractors.
  • Providing advice on contractual claims.

Profile

A successful Quantity Surveyor should have:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Previous experience within Social Housing - either on a client or contractor basis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong numeracy and financial management abilities.
  • The ability to write clear and precise reports.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
