We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic and reputable employer in the construction industry. This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone with 5-10 years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor and Senior Quantity Surveyor form either client-side background or a main contractor.

The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in guiding clients and their professional teams through a range of exciting and high-profile building projects. Your work will be integral to ensuring that the projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, advising all parties on commercial and qualitative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in feasibility studies and write procurement reports
  • Provide estimating and cost planning, including producing and presenting the final cost plan
  • Lead tendering and procurement activities, managing the pre-qualification stage
  • Effectively manage post-contract cost variances and change control processes
  • Take responsibility for cost checks, valuations, and ensuring accurate cost management throughout larger projects
  • Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present them to clients
  • Input into value engineering, and negotiate and agree on final accounts
  • Collaborate with the client, architects, engineers, and other consultants at all stages of the project

What We're Looking For:

  • 5-10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor (from a PQS or Main Contractor background)
  • Exposure to some front-end estimating and cost planning
  • Strong understanding of construction and commitment to delivering value for money for all stakeholders
  • Knowledgeable in MMC/JCT and NEC forms of contract
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management services across the full project lifecycle
  • Ideally professionally qualified (RICS or similar)
  • Degree or HNC-level qualification in a relevant field
  • An outgoing, collaborative approach with strong interpersonal skills
