Role Overview

Payroll:

Processing monthly/weekly payroll for [number] employees.

Calculating and processing statutory deductions (PAYE, National Insurance, etc.).

Managing employee timesheets and attendance records.

Handling payroll queries and resolving discrepancies.

Preparing and submitting payroll reports.

Maintaining accurate payroll records.

Processing year end payroll tasks, P60's, P11D's, etc.


Accounts:

Processing invoices and payments (accounts payable and receivable).

Reconciling bank statements and credit card transactions.

Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures

Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems.

Data entry and general ledger maintenance.

Assisting with audits.

Handling supplier queries.

Helping with the preparation of financial reports.

Essential Skills

-Proven experience in a payroll and/ or accounts administration or assistant role.

-A strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and procedures.

-Excellent numerical and data entry skills.

-Proficiency in using payroll software (experience with Sage Payroll] is desirable).

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

-Ability to maintain confidentiality.
