Job Title: Assistant Accountant
Location: Leeds (Remote)
Pay Bracket: 30,000 - 35,000 + Benefits.

The Accounts Assistant will support the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks. The role is crucial for the accurate maintenance of financial records and the smooth operation of all accounting activities.

Your main roles and responsibilities:
- Responsible for Accounts Payable and Receivable process
- Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis
- Ensuring accuracy on coding of invoices and credit notes in conjunction with the wider finance team
- Creation of PO's in line with business guidance
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Respond to accounting enquiries from management in a timely manner
- Perform other related duties as required
The ideal candidate will have:
- Currently studying toward accounting qualifications (AAT / ACCA / CIMA)
- Have experience of working in an accounting environment including month end tasks, journal entries etc.
- Excellent teamwork
- Persistence and determination
- Thorough attention to detail
- Problem solving skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel and Word
