Global Accounting Network are partnered with a growing property company who are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their passionate, forward-thinking team.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a finance assistant who is proactive and detail orientated who is keen to get stuck into a new challenge within the real estate sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly supplier and utility payment reports
- Set up ad-hoc and weekly supplier payments, ensuring relevant controls and approvals
- Perform monthly supplier statement reconciliations
- Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Review and process staff expense claims
- Onboard and de-board properties and tenants on the financial system
- Assist with monthly management reporting, budget preparation, and statutory account filings
- Prepare VAT returns and assist with board meeting preparations
- Ensure timely and accurate invoice entry, with correct VAT treatment
- Collaborate with internal teams (finance, property management, operations) to achieve organisational goals
Person Specification
- Have a degree or AAT qualifications or similar, and are keen to progress onto ACCA/CIMA
- Have experience with assisting month-end reporting and operating within tight deadlines
- Have experience assisting with preparing financial reports and accounts payable
- Have a strong understanding of accounting concepts
- Experience with property management systems (Zoho/MRI/FloQast) is desirable but not essential
