Finance AssistantGarforth£28,000 - £30,00012 Month FTCElevation Accounting and Finance are working with a leading innovating in their respective field looking to bring an additional Finance Assistant to their team on a 12 month FTC.To be successful you will be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills and the confidence to make decisions autonomously, and in line with company policies and strategic direction. Duties of Finance Assistant:- Manage the full purchase ledger process, including invoice processing, payment runs, and matching and reconciling purchase orders and nominals- Reconcile the company’s bank account on a daily basis.- Support with a minimal amount of sales ledger tasks in collaboration with a colleague.- Run month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.- Reconcile accruals and prepayments using Excel (for non-complex amounts).- Maintain and update the fixed asset log and create corresponding journal entries via spreadsheet.- Handle additional month-end tasks such as stock reconciliation, processing machine accruals, and reviewing the Profit & Loss statement by reconciling balance sheet accounts.- Raise payments in the bank and process expenses.- Respond to queries from the Oxford site as well as from suppliers and customers.To apply for Finance Assistant:- Experience using Nominal Coding, Stocks Reconciliations and Accruals is essential- Previously worked in a similar role within Finance - Strong communication skills for responding to queries with other colleagues and suppliers.If you are interested in the above role please get in touch with Alastair at Elevation!
