Reed Accountancy are proud to be working with a company in Leeds who are recruiting a Finance Assistant. You will assist in a range of financial work and be responsible for the accurate input into a range of financial systems.  This is a full-time and permanent position offering hybrid working.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input and manage authorised invoices and supplier records, resolve queries, and perform supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Input authorised sales/debtor invoices, assist with debt management, and resolve queries.
  • Manage petty cash, bank receipts, accept card payments, handle foreign currency requests, and issue controlled stationery.
  • Lead or assist with accounting reconciliations (bank, cashbook, insurance claims, holiday/tour reconciliations), and liaise with relevant parties.
  • Support nominal ledger, debtors, creditors, cash, banking, payroll, and subsidiaries.
  • Assist with VAT claims, CIS returns, and financial/statistical returns.
  • Assist with finance system/process reviews, documentation, guidance, and training.
  • Assist with annual audits, provide information to auditors
  • Provide management information on payments, debtors, and suppliers

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Strong understanding and experience of financial controls, including payments, payroll and debtor
  • Practical experience within a similar role
  • Advanced user of Excel
  • Experience working in a challenging environment
  • Experience working with complex financial processes with multiple stakeholders
