Role Overview:We are currently recruiting Machinery operatives for our site in Leeds. The main purpose of this role is to operate the saw, to shot blast, paint and cut steel. You will be processing customer orders and orders for stock. Ensure material is safely banded and marked to customer specifications which will be provided. We have a few machines to operate and full training on each will be given.

We are looking to fill two shift patterns:-

6am - 2pm mon- fri

2pm - 10pm mon - fri

Key Responsibilities are to:

  • Set up the saw
  • Select, inspect and load component material
  • Carry out processing of material
  • Carry out and record finished goods inspections as specified
  • Identify programming and set up errors and pass to Warehouse manager for rectification
  • Work with managers and supervisors to implement the companies policies and business objectives
  • Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat & tidy
  • Ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness

Previous expereince in operating similar machinery would be beneficial, but we would also consider any applicatnt with a willingness to learn and a keen interest in learning a trade in the steel industry. Full training is offered so this is a great opportunity for someone to really develop their skills.
