Secondary Cover Supervisor Needed - Leeds
At Engage, we’re working with a number of secondary schools across Leeds to recruit for cover supervisors who can deliver pre-planned lessons whilst maintaining classroom behaviour and ensuring students complete work. This is a fantastic opportunity if you are considering working in Education.
About the role
You will be leading lessons and covering in the absence of class teachers for varying subjects at a range of schools across Leeds. The role will require you to be adaptable, with strong classroom management to ensure that students remain on task and complete the work set.
You will receive training provided by Engage Education and will be a part of a close and dynamic team. This role has very little planning and marking. This is a good opportunity to work in schools and build on your experience if you are wishing to pursue a career in Education.

About you
- Experience working with students aged 11-16
- Flexibility to work on different subjects
- Confident managing behaviour
- An ability to build rapport with students
- Have a fun but firm presence
- An interest in education
We welcome applications from candidates with any level of experience, although previous experience of working with students with challenging behaviour will be an advantage. If you are an aspiring teacher, or an experienced cover supervisor looking for a position, this opportunity could be ideal for you. This role could also suit a candidate with experience of working as a Youth Worker or Behaviour Mentor.
