The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for KS5 depending on experience
  • Teach a range of DT specialisms (e.g., Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics or Textiles)
  • Plan and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum and school ethos
  • Foster a positive learning environment where creativity and innovation are encouraged
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the Design Technology curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and student progress tracking

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent overseas qualification
  • Degree in Design Technology or related subject
  • Experience teaching in UK secondary schools (NQTs/ECTs also welcome)
  • Strong subject knowledge across multiple DT disciplines
  • Passion for education and commitment to student development
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
