About the Role:As a Design Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons in a variety of design disciplines, including product design, engineering, and graphics. You will have the opportunity to shape and inspire students, helping them to develop critical problem-solving skills, creativity, and technical expertise. The role is perfect for an experienced teacher or someone looking to take the next step in their career, with strong support from both the school leadership and Veritas Education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in Design Technology, with a focus on practical, hands-on learning.
- Develop and maintain a stimulating classroom environment that encourages creativity and problem-solving.
- Support students' academic and personal growth through tailored feedback and guidance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement a comprehensive, engaging curriculum.
- Ensure that all students achieve their full potential, both inside and outside the classroom.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a relevant degree (e.g., Design Technology, Engineering, Art & Design).
- Proven experience teaching Design Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4 (KS3 & KS4).
- Passionate about creative subjects and eager to inspire students with practical, real-world applications of Design Technology.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate lessons for diverse learning needs.
- A team player, ready to collaborate with colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for students.
- Experience marking and planning lessons will be required upon a long-term appointment but will not be required for the initial 12 weeks.
