Academics are partnered with a fantastic secondary school in the Wakefield area that are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Drama teacher to start on a full time basis from January 2025 until the end of the academic year, with the high likelihood of a permanent contract from September 2025. In the schools most recent OFSTED inspection they were rated outstanding in all areas!

We are actively searching for a Drama teacher to share their knowledge and deliver high quality lessons to students across KS3 and KS4 by displaying a good understanding of the Drama curriculum.

As a Drama teacher you will be responsible for the following:

  • Contributing towards extracurricular activities such as school productions and Drama clubs.
  • Assisting with the student's progression by supporting them with upcoming exams and assessments.
  • Display strong behaviour management and have the ability to control the classroom.
  • Planning lessons that will keep the students engaged

For the Drama teacher role you must meet the below requirements:

  • Hold a relevant Drama degree
  • Must have obtained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have valid right to work in the UK
  • Must have an enhanced DBS on the update service
