English Teacher - Leeds LS4
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school community in Leeds. Main Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach creative, differentiated lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, in line with the national curriculum.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching approaches as needed.
- Assist in the development and refinement of curriculum materials and schemes of work.
- Collaborate with colleagues to continuously raise standards of achievement.
- Support students of all abilities to achieve their personal best.
- Engage fully in school life, including events, parent evenings, and ongoing professional development.
What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent), with a degree in English or a closely related field.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum design, assessment practices, and effective classroom management.
- A reflective practitioner committed to ongoing professional growth.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
- A positive, proactive mindset and a genuine passion for educating young people.
