The Role:
As a History Teacher at Veritas Education, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking history lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will work closely with colleagues to develop a robust curriculum and ensure that students receive the support they need to excel academically. You will also play an integral role in promoting a love of history. You will work through Veritas as a teacher in school for up to 12 weeks.
After this period if you and the school decide that it is a good match you can move to work with the school directly and become a permanent member of the team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver history lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop a comprehensive history curriculum.
- Encourage students to engage with historical concepts through discussions, debates, and independent research.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events as required.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in History or a related field.
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A genuine passion for history and education.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Excellent organisational skills and a commitment to student success.
- Experience in teaching history at Key Stage 3 and 4 is desirable.
