The Role:
As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering a rich and engaging mathematics curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4. You’ll inspire students to develop confidence and curiosity in their mathematical abilities, and contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that engage and challenge all learners.
- Assess student progress regularly, using data to inform teaching and provide effective feedback.
- Contribute to the development of schemes of work and the sharing of best practices within the department.
- Create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment where students feel confident to take risks and explore ideas.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to raise attainment and support the school’s vision for excellence in teaching and learning.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to student achievement and wellbeing.
- Strong knowledge of the UK secondary maths curriculum and an understanding of effective pedagogical approaches.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
