Are you passionate about physical education and fostering a love for sports and fitness in young people? We're seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary PE Teacher to join our team on a temporary basis, with the potential for long-term placements. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to inspire and engage students in physical activities and healthy lifestyles.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective PE lessons to secondary school students, following the National Curriculum.
Encourage participation in a variety of sports and physical activities, promoting teamwork and personal development.
Plan and prepare lesson materials that cater to diverse abilities and interests.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
Ensure the safety and well-being of students during physical activities.
Organise and supervise extracurricular sports clubs and events.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience teaching PE at the secondary level.
Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching methods in physical education.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively and create a supportive learning environment.
A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching.
