We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teacher to join our team at a specialist school in Leeds. This role offers the opportunity to work with secondary-aged students who require a tailored approach to learning, supporting their growth and development in a nurturing and encouraging environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with students facing a variety of learning challenges, including those with ASD and who may exhibit associated challenging behaviours.
  • Be responsible for managing different classes of secondary-aged students, adapting your teaching style and resources to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with therapists, support staff, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to learning.
  • Be part of a positive and supportive school culture where you can contribute your unique skills and experience.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS)
  • Previous experience working with those with SEND
  • A commitment to creating a positive and nurturing learning environment.
  • The ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and build strong relationships with your class.
  • A 'can-do' attitude and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues.
