About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Drama to join one of our secondary schools in Leeds. This is a part-time, long term role running from January 2025 to July 2025. The primary focus will be teaching Drama at KS3, with some responsibilities for English classes.
The School has been acknowledged for its high standards of behaviour and curriculum excellence, earning it an OFSTED 'Good' rating. Being a comprehensive school, every student is guaranteed to realise their greatest potential.
Start Date: January 2025End Date: July 2025Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates considered)Contract: Temporary, Part-Time (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)
Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- A passion for Drama and a commitment to fostering student creativity.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Drama lessons for students.
- Teach some English lessons as required.
- Inspire students to explore their creativity and build confidence in performance and communication.
- Assess, track, and provide feedback on student progress.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as school productions or drama clubs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to uphold a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the Drama curriculum.
- Uphold school policies and contribute to the wider school community.
