About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Drama to join one of our secondary schools in Leeds. This is a part-time, long term role running from January 2025 to July 2025. The primary focus will be teaching Drama at KS3, with some responsibilities for English classes.

Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • A passion for Drama and a commitment to fostering student creativity.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Drama lessons for students.
  • Teach some English lessons as required.
  • Inspire students to explore their creativity and build confidence in performance and communication.
  • Assess, track, and provide feedback on student progress.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as school productions or drama clubs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to uphold a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the Drama curriculum.
  • Uphold school policies and contribute to the wider school community.
