Essential Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Excellent subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.

  • Differentiate lessons to cater to varied learning styles and abilities.
  • Use assessment data to track student progress and inform teaching strategies.
  • Foster a love for reading and writing among students.
  • Encourage classroom discussions to develop student's verbal reasoning skills.
  • Develop student's exam and essay-writing skills.
  • Organise and support extracurricular activities such as writing clubs or drama performances.
  • Promote a growth mindset and a resilient attitude in students.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
