About the role
A school in Leeds, is seeking a dedicated Teacher of English for a full-time job after Easter. As part of a dynamic and supportive department, you will play a key role in shaping student's love for literature, improving literacy skills, and fostering a culture of critical analysis and creativity. As an English Teacher at Crawshaw Academy, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons to KS3 and KS4 students

Essential Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Excellent subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.

Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Develop student's literacy, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Differentiate lessons to cater to varied learning styles and abilities.
- Use assessment data to track student progress and inform teaching strategies.
- Foster a love for reading and writing among students.
- Encourage classroom discussions to develop student's verbal reasoning skills.
- Develop student's exam and essay-writing skills.
- Organise and support extracurricular activities such as writing clubs or drama performances.
- Promote a growth mindset and a resilient attitude in students.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
