About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated Teacher of English to join asecondary school in Leeds. This role is full-time, starting after Easter 2025, and offers the chance to teach KS3 and KS4 English in an environment that promotes high achievement and personal growth.

Location: Leeds
Start Date: After Easter 2025
Contract: Full-time, until the end of the academic year (with the potential for extension)
Essential Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Excellent subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.

- Use assessment data to track student progress and inform teaching strategies.
- Foster a love for reading and writing among students.
- Encourage classroom discussions to develop student's verbal reasoning skills.
- Develop student's exam and essay-writing skills.
- Organise and support extracurricular activities such as writing clubs or drama performances.
- Promote a growth mindset and a resilient attitude in students.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
